News Update November 2023

It has been a little while since we provided an update at Yorkshire Park and as always there is a little bit going on.

On the racing scene Yorkshire Park bred or raced horses added another 4 wins to the tally with Good Word That returning from a spell with 2 impressive wins at Swan Hill in pretty slick time driven on both occasions by Tayla French.  It’s great to see the little fella back which takes him to 5 wins to date as he followed up the wins with a very good 3rd beaten 2 metres at Mildura.  Azterian continued on his winning way in WA with a win at Gloucester Park which took him over the $60K in prizemoney with 9 wins.  Kialla Kid made it win number 3 with an impressive 16.5 metre victory at Albury on Tuesday 14 November driven by Damian Wilson.

Our Miki Diva has headed to Tasmania to join the Adrian Duggan stable with another of Yorkshire Park owned horse in Classy Countess.  Good to see Classy Countess finish 2nd in her return from a spell last Friday night in the 1120 metre races held at Hobart.

Jets Art has headed to the paddock for a spell while our Vincent filly out of Neishars jet is progressing quite nicely.  Also pleased to see the syndicate horse Vegas Diamond filly by American Ideal head to Nathan Jack’s and the Oneminutetodream filly by Soho Tribecca has arrived at Allbenz Park to take up her first preparation with Kerryn Manning & Grant Campbell.  Nevs Dream has also returned from a break, and we are looking forward to a very good season from this mare.

On the breeding scene She Will Rock delivered a colt by Ride High on the 11th of November while Masterkova delivered a filly by Sweet Lou on the 5th November.  Really pleasing to see both mares and foals doing well.  Carrera Mystic is due to foal to Captain Crunch any day now, Watch the Dream (Always Be Miki) and Magical (Zenith Stride) are due to foal at the end of the month.  Our Narissa Franco has a 28-day positive test to Poster Boy and is due for her final test this week.

Some new arrivals at Yorkshire Park in October with six Murray Grey heifer calves arriving which will be good to keep the grass well eaten down in the lane ways and to run them through the paddocks after the horses have been in them.  It’s been a little while since we have had cattle but this year in particular the amount of feed around heading into summer is a bit of a concern.

Thats about all for now.

Good luck and good punting.

Yorkshire Park Team.
