About
Yorkshire Park Standardbreds is operated by Brenda & Dennis Bice based at their Carlsruhe property “Yorkshire Park at The Grove” set on 53 acres and set up to provide the best facilities for our breeding operation. The horse facilities include a six box stable complex, round yard, day yards, six paddocks with shelters and 25 acres broodmare or spelling paddock all set among 500 Olive trees.
Our aim is to provide prospective buyers with the opportunity to purchase yearlings that have been well cared for and educated in preparation for their stint at the racing scene at affordable prices. Brenda & Dennis have enjoyed the success of racing through their own breed in particular Rare Courage winner of 15 races including the Moonee Valley & Wedderburn Cups and continue to develop a small band of broodmares to achieve the best possible result.
A passion that continues to develop, a willingness to provide others with the joys of harness racing and the aspiration to succeed, all a part of the future for Yorkshire Park.

News and Race Results
News Update March 2026
Racing: Great to see three more winners since our last update for Yorkshire Park with Good Word That, Nevs Dream and Maestro all saluting. Maestro delivered a Charlton Trotters Cup win in impressive style following his second placings in the Boort and Birchip Trotters Cups. That takes him to 14 wins and prizemoney of $121k for the son of Love You. Brightly Blaze, Seaside Elegance, Always Watching, Heavenly Flyer and Sweet Kova are all progressing well in their preparations and hopefully a few will venture to the racetrack in the coming months. We have also made the decision to retire Our Miki Diva; she will head to the breeding barn next year. The daughter of Always B Miki out of the Mach Three mare Divine Diva finished her racing career with 59 starts for 8 wins 3 seconds and 7 thirds and prizemoney of $75K plus her bonus of $7K. Not a bad result for a $14K purchase at the NZB yearling sales back in 2019. She retires in good health and was a consistent performer on the track for Yorkshire Park. Breeding News: Only waiting on final positive tests for She Will Rock (Poster Boy) and Sixty Plus (E L Titan) on the breeding front as we close out the breeding season. Great to watch the growth and development of our foals born this year with colts by Ride High, Cannibal, Soho Tribecca and Poster Boy and fillies by King of the North and Ride High. 2026 Nutrien Yearling Sales: Sales season is already well a truly under way with the first of Yorkshire Park yearlings sold at the Nutrien Sales in Sydney on Sunday 8 March. Our only entry was a filly by Poster Boy out of the good producing mare Our Narissa Franco which was sold to Joe Conolly at Castlereigh NSW for $8,000. We now head to Melbourne for the next round of sales on Sunday 12 April with four lots going under the hammer. To date there has been plenty of positivity around the sales so hopefully that continues into the Melbourne Nutrien sale. Sydney: Lot 127 Poster Boy x Our Narissa Franco Filly – sold $8K Melbourne: Lot 210 Vincent x She Will Rock Filly. Lot 216 Pastor Stephen x Sixty Plus Colt. Lot 275 Pebble Beach x Carrera Mystic Colt. Lot 328 King of the North x Magical Filly. Good luck and good punting. Yorkshire Park Team.
