News Update November 2020
There is no doubt you experience the highs and lows at times in the breeding game and all started off really well when Masterkova presented us a beautiful American Ideal colt during November. Unfortunately Our Narissa Franco had a colt by Lincoln Royal a week later but it died during birth. This is a real blow but these things do happen and we have to move on. We are still waiting for Watch The Dream to foal a Sweet Lou any day now and hopefully all will go well with her. La Tonneralla has been served by Pastor Stephen and has a 30 day positive result while Sixty Plus and Masterkova will be served this week. This week we also sold Ima Ritzi Lombo who will continue her broodmare career in Kyabram for new owners.
On the racing scene it was good to see Hancocks Hero win recently at Echuca to bring up his seventh career win. He has been a really good horse for his owners and no doubt has a few more wins in store. He was our only winner for the month of November and despite a few placings it has been a pretty bleak month. Lutetia Midfrew has been sold and will continue to do her racing in Tasmania still under the guidance of Adrian Duggan.
Our Always B Mikki two year old is now back in work and looks a picture under the care of John Hay in Ashburton New Zealand. Azterian, Good Word That, Classy Countess, She Will Rock have all returned to the track so hopefully a few winners might be around the corner. Great to see Drain The Swamp make the Breeders Crown 2YO Colts & Geldings final finishing a respectable eighth in a slick time of 1.55.8 beaten 16 metres. Jets Art was awarded a race win as a result of a positive swab by the original winner in his debut race. Its nice to have the win but it will be even better when he wins one in his own right.
So with one month of the year to go we sit on 21 winners for the year with our target being 24. Lets hope we get a few winners in the coming weeks.
That’s about all for now.
Stay safe
