News Update March 2024

Another good month or so on the racetrack with the Yorkshire Park owned Classy Countess saluting at Launceston on the 18 February in 2.1.1 driven by Jacob Duggan.  Really pleased to see Tess win another one as she has been pretty close in recent times.  One of the original horses we sold Go Home Jo won at Bunbury on Friday 15 March in her best career winning time of 1.56.6 coming of the back of some good performances in recent times.  It was fantastic to see the mare back in the winner’s circle after returning from injury following a nearly three-year layoff.  Our Miki Diva continues in great form having run second in her past two starts since winning at Carrick in late January.  She has been finishing off he races well and hopefully there is another win around the corner for the Yorkshire Park owned five-year-old.  That Maj Ya Look, Nevs Dream and Jets Art all part owned by Yorkshire Park will be running over the next few weeks.

Don’t forget the Nutrien Yearling sales in Melbourne kick off on the 14 April with a fantastic book of yearlings on offer.  Plenty on offer for all range of buyers and I suggest you get down there on the Friday 12th to inspect what will be a great batch of young horses both pacers and trotters.

On the breeding scene we are starting to get our mares back to the farm from the respective studs and we will also see the return of the weanlings as well.  All positive to date with the Sweet Lou filly out of Masterkova following her little mishap and I can report she has had the screw taken out of her knee and all looks good.

Yorkshire Park will be offering a couple of our brood mares this year for sale with Watch the Dream (empty) and Our Narissa Franco in foal to Poster Boy both going on the market.  Watch The Dream’s foals have averaged $28K at the past yearling sales and is superbly bred.  Our Narissa Franco has had three foals to the races and between them have won 33 races.  Reach out if you have any interest in either of these two mares.

Thats about all for now.

Good luck and good punting.

Yorkshire Park Team.
