News Update July 2020
Another challenging month for the harness racing industry but we are extremely grateful for the work done by Harness Racing Victoria and the industry participants in keeping the industry up and running when a lot of others are not so lucky.
On the breeding scene we have booked a couple of our mares into to stallions for the upcoming breeding season along with our partnership in Neishars Jet.
Watch The Dream has been booked to Vincent.
Masterkova has been booked to Poster Boy.
Neishars Jet has been booked to Vincent.
We are still working through stallions for our trotting mares Sixty Plus and La Tonneralla and yet to decide on Our Narissa Franco.
On the racing scene we are yet to record a winner for the month of July with a number of placings and fourth finishes. Both Azterian and Hancocks Hero have been a model of consistency and both should record victories in the near future. She Will Rock continues to progress well on her comeback and Jets Art is back in work after a short let up. Miki Diva has finished her preparation in NZ pleasing all with the progress she has made. She will have a month in the paddock before heading back into work. Great to see one of our old timers return to the track in Tasmania recently in Aitutaki.
The news was not great for our trainer in Tasmania Adrian Duggan after suffering a badly broken ankle in a fall at Hobart recently. We certainly wish Adrian a speedy recovery and hopefully Lutetia Midfrew will do the right thing by him and win for us on Friday night.
Yorkshire Park will this sell our yearlings through the 2021 Nutrien Standardbred Yearling sales in April with the following entries:
Art Major x Watch The Dream filly, Yankee Rockstar x Ima Ritzi Lombo filly, Used to Me x La Tonneralla colt, Sunshine Beach x Vickymurphy colt and a TinTin In America x Our Narissa Franco colt. Yorkshire park is excited to join Nutrien in this new sale and once again all our yearlings will be prepared by Rhiannon Park proprietors Dean & Blanche Poole.
That’s about all for now, look forward to continuing to find a winner or two.
Yorkshire Park team.
