News Update July 2021
A very busy start to the month of July with three winners in the first two weeks headed up by She Will Rock winning her first metropolitan race at Bendigo in sizzling fashion winning by 7.8 metres and superbly driven by Tayla French. The Yorkshire Park bred and part owned mare made it win number 7 and almost $50K in prizemoney and there looks to be more wins in store for the Rock N Roll Heaven mare.
Jets Art continued on his superb form with another convincing victory at Shepparton on Wednesday night coming from last position in the field and working his way round the them to take the lead in the straight and put it beyond doubt. He is a very promising gelding and there are many more wins in store for the Graham Lyon trained 4 year old.
Too top off the week our old favourite Hancocks Hero duly saluted today at Shepparton providing Melinda Thackery her first winning drive and win number 9 for the Yorkshire Park Bred gelding. A really good effort in a solidly run race.
Both Nevs Dream part owned and bred by Yorkshire Park and Dreams Are Bettor owned by Yorkshire Park head back to the trials this week and we look forward to seeing them back racing soon. Classy Countess continues to be a model of consistency and hopefully will break through soon for the Club 21 syndicate at Cranbourne.
On the breeding scene our mares have been booked to stallions for the upcoming breeding season.
Masterkova has been booked to be served by Captaintreacherous. (Empire Stallions).
Watch The Dream booked to Downbytheseaside. (Woodlands Stud).
Our Narissa Franco booked to Vincent. (Alabar Stud).
Sixty Plus booked to Speeding Spur. (Woodlands Stud).
Our aim at the start of the season we set out to have three wins per month from our owned or bred Yorkshire Park horses. To date we have reached 18 wins up to the first two weeks in July so still some work to be done this month but hopefully we can be on track soon.
Stay safe.
Yorkshire Park team.
