Great start to the 2023 season with the Yorkshire Park owned Our Miki Diva saluting at Bendigo at her first Australian start last Thursday night. Purchased out of the 2020 NZ Yearling sales the daughter of Always B Miki has provided a few challenges along the way but thanks to John Hay & Ineka Lee in NZ and our trainers Maree and John Caldow her in Victoria the win at our home track was one well worth waiting for. Let’s hope this is the start of better things for the future.
On the breeding scene Masterkova (Sweet Lou), Our Narissa Franco (Poster Boy), and She Will Rock (Ride High) have all had their final positives while Watch the Dream (Always B Miki) and Magical (Zenith Stride) have both 30-day positives. La Tonneralla (Dancing in the Dark) and Sixty Plus (Pastor Stephen) have recently been served.
The 2023 Nutrien Yearling sales in Melbourne on the 1st-3rd April is fast approaching and our two colts Vincent out of Watch the Dream and Pastor Stephen out of La Tonneralla will start their preparation for the sales under the care of Kath McIntosh at Llowalong Farms at Kyabram at the end of January. Always looking forward to the yearling sales to see how the crop of yearlings come up.
