News Update August 2023

A little bit late with the update for August but I’m pleased to say two more winners for Yorkshire Park owned or bred horses for the month of August.  Jets Art returned from a spell with a very good win at Echuca driven by James Herbertson and King Tintin also returning from a short let up saluted at Wagga with an impressive win to make it win number seven from fourteen starts for the TinTin in America colt driven by Brad Hewitt and prepared by Neil Day.  Classy Countess under the care of Adrian Duggan has returned to work from her let up and Kialla Kid, a Sunshine Beach colt bred by Yorkshire Park continue his consistent run with a number of solid placings following his recent win.

We have pretty much finalised our list of mares returning to stud this year:

Masterkova to Captain Crunch.

Magical to King of the North.

She Will Rock to Vincent.

Watch the Dream to Downbytheseaside.

Carrera Mystic to Pebble Beach.

Our Narissa Franco to Poster Boy.

Yorkshire Park have also purchased a 10% share in the American Ideal filly out of Vegas Diamond (unraced due to injury) a daughter of Yankee Showgirl who is the dam of School Captain and Tennessee Waltz.  This is a very strong family as the third dam is Aston Villa, the dam of Poster Boy, Yankee Rockstar, Born to Rock N Roll and many others.  The filly has been broken in by Kyabram horseman Mick Blackmore and is currently spelling before heading back for another prep. We see a very good future on the racetrack and in the future the breeding barn.

Not long before we start seeing some foals on the ground which is always an exciting time.  Stay tuned as we head into a busy breeding season.

Thats about all for now.

Good luck and good punting.

Yorkshire Park team.
