News Update 1 May 2021
Glenavril King makes it win number 12 and took his prize money to over $100k with a brilliant win at Melton on Saturday night. Superbly handled by Kerryn Manning the son of Courage Under Fire did work out of the gate early then blistered home to win by a half neck after doing all the work. No doubt the Yorkshire Park bred gelding put in his best winning performance with a winning mile rate 0f 1.54.7. Congratulations to Barry & Yvonne Dunn who purchased the gelding from Yorkshire Park at the APG Yearling sales.
News Update 29 April 2021
Great to see Drain The Swamp salute at Geelong on Wednesday night winning by 16.2 metres in 1.57.9 following up on his very good second placings since returning from a spell. The Somebeachsomewhere gelding is stamping himself as a very nice horse and no doubt there will be many wins in store to come.
On the sales front I’m pleased to report that the three quarter brother to Drain The Swamp by Sunshine Beach (lot 182 Nutrien Sale) has now been sold. He will head to the Dave Farrar stables at Shepparton where he will get every chance.
Keep an eye out for both Nevs Dream and Jets Art at Cobram on Monday with both expected to perform well.

On the racing scene She Will Rock and Glenavril King continue to be a model of consistency while we will see the return of Jets Art to the race track this week. A very exciting venture to the races will be the Yorkshire Park bred and part owned Sportswriter x Watch The Dream filly Nevs Dream make her race track debut at Melton this coming Friday. In NZ our filly Miki Diva will head to the trials in the next week as she continues her progression to the race track. Drain The Swamp finished second at his first up run from a spell and will go round again on Wednesday at Yarra Valley as will Hancocks Hero at Mildura. Dreams Are Bettor has moved down to the stables of Adrian Duggan in Tasmania joining a formerly owned filly Lutetia Midfrew.
Stay safe.
